At 58, the hardy Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright [David Mamet] continues to turn out scripts for stage and film at a relentless pace, while still finding the time to train occasionally with an expert in knife combat, just to keep in shape. But until now, he had never seen a television series of his creation reach a network's schedule.
