John August self-publishes The Variant

Pretty much every time American writer and blogger John August posts to his blog I'm tempted to put up a link - he always seems to have something interesting to say. But most of you probably follow it anyway, so I try to refrain.

However, here's another must-read and this time it's not about screenwriting but self-publishing.

He's just self-published a short story, The Variant, as a downloadable pdf and using Amazon for Kindle (US only).
