Time Warner has agreed to pay an estimated $150 million to the heirs of JRR Tolkien after a legal dispute over profits from the Lord Of The Rings films.The settlement came out of court, with the case due to go to court in Los Angeles next month.
Christopher Tolkien, 84, and Priscilla, 80, said they sued the film company after it failed hand over a single penny from the gross revenues of the multi-Oscar-winning film trilogy, which took $2.96 billion at the box office worldwide.
