Anatomy of a Doctors episode

On the BBC Writersroom blog, an article by Guild member Joy Wilkinson about the episode of Doctors broadcast last week that she wrote.
I read somewhere that one of the best places to find ideas was to think about things that scare you. After I had my son, I was forever having terrors about him being alone in the house, helpless, so this was one of the sources of the idea.

  1. So much for the pram in the hall being the "sombre enemy of good art"... far from crimping a writer's style, parenthood can be the passkey to a world of new anxieties for mining!

  2. Pete K5:51 pm

I completely agree with that Stephen. Having kids is such an emotional rollercoaster it supercharges your writing. It did mine anyway, One I'd got over the sleepless nights!!!
