Billy Elliot, The Musical (book and lyrics by Lee Hall from his film of the same name, music by Elton John) won 10 awards at the American Tony Awards last night including Best Musical and Best Book. Another British winner was The Norman Conquests by Guild member Alan Ayckbourn which won the award for Best Revival.
